Adaptive Control — A Perspective

Abstract:

Adaptive control like  neural networks has had a stormy history. In this talk we will give an broad overview covering a brief history,  and the common adaptive systems like model reference adaptive control, the self-tuning regulators and L1 adapive control. Special attention is given to dual control where the controller is probing as well as directing. A few real applications are also presented.
