New Approaches to Identification and Control of Nonlinear Systems

Abstract:

This talk will present a family of recent developments on convexification of nonlinear system identification and control. The methods are based on contraction theory, dissipation inequalities, and the sum-of-squares and Lagrangian convex relaxations. We will discuss connections to classical methods, as well as applications in synchronisation of networks, modelling of live neurons, and robotics.
