Optimizing Dynamic Power Flow
Anders Rantzer, Lund University
Abstract:
Theproblem to minimize power losses in an electrical network subject to voltage
and power constraints is in general hard to solve. However, it has recently been discovered that semidefinite programming in many cases enables exact computation of the optimal power flow. In this presentation, these ideas are extended to a dynamic setting. With purely inductive network dynamics it turns out that the analysis can be greatly simplified using theory for positive systems.
