Dynamics, Control and Pricing in Power Systems
Researchers: Anders Rantzer (area leader) and Stephen Low (guest researcher July-Aug 2010)
Start-date: 2010-10
End-Date: 2011-06.
Results: The project received finanacial support through another project (supported by SSF, start-date 2011-06)
Acknowledgement: Thanks to LCCC for financial support during 8 months, facilitating the startup of this project.

Objective:
Description:
Our power network is under rapid transformation due to economic incentives and integration of renewable resources. Technoloy for control and communication is at the heart of this development, but there is also a strong coupling to economics and market forces. The purpose of this seed area is to establish a direct link between the theory development in LCCC and the application challenges in power systems.
This seed area was opened with a focus period in May 2011 creating an environment where leading researchers in power systems, control engineering and economics could meet and work under optimal circumstances. The format was the same as for the Theme Semester 2010, but for a shorter period.
