Common Knowledge of Industrial Robots: Knowledge and Skill Representation for Industrial Robotics
Jacek Malec, Lund University
Abstract:
In this talk I intend to focus on requirements that need to be fulfilled in order to obtain a truly reusable knowledge repository useful for industrial robots, and suggest some ways of approaching the task of creating such repository. I will have a look at the neighbouring field of mobile robotics in order to identify similarities and differences of the two kinds of robotics. I propose a journey beginning in 1990 with KIF (Knowledge Interchange Format, Genesereth), continuing with KIF of today (Knowledge Integration Framework, Nugues et al.), and leading to a future KIF (possibly decrypted this time as knowledge interchange framework).
